Goals

We, the Governing Board of the Coachella Valley Unified School District seek to provide for the educational, personal, and career needs of our students. In this commitment, we pursue the following goals:

  • Maintaining a responsible fiscal budget that involves, and seeks, business and community support.
  • The recruitment, selection, training, and retention of high-quality staff.
  • The “success of the whole child” via programs that build academic success, maintain safe and drug-free schools, foster high expectations, and support our philosophy of life-long learning.
  • The importance of proficiency in the English Language while acknowledging the importance of culture and diversity.
  • A cooperative and supportive relationship which maintains an atmosphere of open communication with parents and all segments of our community.

This We Believe

  • WE BELIEVE all students must have access to student-centered, rigorous educational programs provided by knowledgeable, caring, and committed staff.
  • WE BELIEVE through their educational accomplishments all students will acquire the ability to become productive, responsible citizens.
  • WE BELIEVE successful educational programs allow for the aspirations of all individuals by creating opportunities for discovering and developing their given talents.
  • WE BELIEVE a positive relationship between school, parents, and the community is a keystone to student success.
  • WE BELIEVE our students are the legacy for our future.
