The State and Federal Projects department provided a workshop for site principals, assistant principals, and secretaries in August focused on utilizing state and federal funding to support student learning. Topics covered included needs assessments; budget and program compliance; budget and program monitoring; parent involvement; evaluating the effectiveness of actions/services; and the development of a school's Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). Follow-up meetings were held at each school site to provide individualized guidance on the development of their SPSA and the use of technology to assist with monitoring.
