The Personalized Learning Platform is a program developed by Summit Public Schools and Facebook that provides personalized instruction to students. This a pilot being conducted in our district at secondary sites.
CVUSD will host its first annual film festival at Desert Mirage High School on May 23rd, 2017. This festival will highlight student and staff created video projects centered around Celebration in 1 of 4 areas.
On October 19-21, 2016, CVUSD hosted a conference sponsored by NSBA focused on Equity and Educational Technology. CVUSD was one of two districts selected to host an NSBA conference in the 2016-2017 school year.
CVUSD is proud to announce the construction of 3 makerspaces and 1 collaborative office space across the district: Coral Mountain Academy, Cahuilla Desert Academy, West Shores High School, and Technology Management Services. Makerspaces provide hands-on opportunities for students members to explore and deepen their understanding of concepts learning in class.
A national movement is happening to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow in the area of computer science. Many of these jobs require understanding of computer programming, which is the main component of CVUSD's various Coding and Robotics Initiatives taking place in all grades across the district.
