AVID Elementary and College and Career Readiness
AVID Elementary & College and Career Readiness
CVUSD believes that college and career readiness begins in elementary school. Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Elementary helps students develop the academic habits, confidence, organization, and critical-thinking skills they will need throughout school and beyond. AVID is not a separate subject. Its strategies are integrated into daily instruction across English language arts, mathematics, science, history–social science, and other content areas.
