Risk Management
The Risk Management Department is dedicated to supporting the well-being and safety of employees, students, and the District as a whole through comprehensive risk mitigation programs. Key areas of focus include:
- Employee Health Benefits: Administering and supporting employee health benefit programs to ensure access to necessary medical care.
- Workers' Compensation: Managing a self-insured workers’ compensation program, including an Early Return to Work Program that helps injured employees remain engaged through temporary modified duties while continuing medical treatment.
- Property and Liability Risk Management: Maintaining a proactive approach to minimize third-party liability claims and recover losses from damage to District-owned property.
- Employee Safety: Promoting workplace safety through hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, site inspections, safety plans, and ongoing staff training.
- Safe Learning Environment: Acting as a liaison between parents, students, and staff to foster a secure and supportive educational environment.
