Inter district Transfers Attendance Permit
(Transferring from one school district to another)

  An Inter district Attendance permit is valid only during the school year for which it is issued, while conditions stated are maintained, and as long as the student's attendance, citizenship and scholarship are satisfactory to the district of attendance. A permit may be revoked for cause at any time. False or misleading information may be cause for denial or revocation. Approval is subject to space availability in the district and may not be at the site requested.  All transfer requests will be reviewed in accordance with District governing board policies (AR 5117). Interdistrict transfer decisions will be made on a case-by case-basis.  Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 

 

2019-2020 -Coachella Valley Unified School District Office of Child Welfare and Attendance is currently receiving transfer requests for the 2019-2020 through March 29, 2019.

Inter district Transfer Procedures

1.       Complete the online Request for Interdistrict Attendance Permit (see link below).  Please make sure to fill out the application according to your district of residence (example) if your child currently attending CVUSD but reside in DSUSD or PSUSD boundaries you must click on your district of residence and then click on the current district your child is attending and then the district you would like to attend. Filling out incorrectly may result in a delay in your request.

2.    Please provide any additional support documents as needed (example Child Care Verification, School District Employment Verification). 

3.    Parent/Guardians will be notified by email once the request is submitted and reviewed.

4.    Incomplete applications will result in denial of your request and will further delay the process.

5.    Transportation is not provided and is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

Note: Online transfers only apply to and from Coachella Valley Unified School District, Desert Sands Unified School District & Palm Springs Unified School District. All other Transfers to and from other districts require that you apply in person in your district of residence.

Permisos de Traslados entre Distritos 
(Traslados de un distrito escolar a otro)

   Un permiso de asistencia entre distritos es válido sólo durante el año escolar para el cual se emite, mientras que las condiciones indicadas se mantengan, y siempre y cuando la asistencia del estudiante, el comportamiento sean satisfactorias para el distrito de asistencia.  Un permiso puede ser revocado por causa en cualquier momento. La información falsa o engañosa puede ser causa de negación o revocación. La aprobación está sujeta a la disponibilidad de espacio en el distrito y puede no haber espacio en la escuela solicitada.  Todas las solicitudes de traslados se revisarán de acuerdo con las políticas de la mesa directiva del distrito (AR 5117).  Las decisiones de traslados entre distritos se harán caso por caso.  El transporte es responsabilidad del padre/tutor.

Procedimientos y Formularios para traslados entre distritos

1.    Complete la solicitud por internet para el permiso de asistencia entre distritos (ver enlace abajo).  Por favor, asegúrese de llenar la solicitud de acuerdo con su distrito de residencia (ejemplo) si su hijo actualmente asiste a CVUSD pero reside fuera de los límites de DSUSD o PSUSD debe hacer clic en su distrito de residencia y luego haga clic en el distrito actual que su hijo está asistiendo y luego al distrito al que le gustaría asistir. Completar incorrectamente puede dar lugar a un retraso en su solicitud.
2.    Por favor proporcione cualquier documento de apoyo adicional según sea necesario (ejemplo verificación de cuidado infantil, verificación de empleo del distrito escolar).
3.    Los padres/tutores serán notificados por correo electrónico una vez que la solicitud sea enviada y revisada.
4.    Las solicitudes incompletas ocasionarán la negación de su solicitud y retrasarán aún más el proceso.
5.    Transporte no se proporciona y es responsabilidad del padre/tutor.

  Nota:  Traslados por internet solo aplican hacía y desde el Distrito Escolar Unificado del Valle de Coachella, el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Desert Sands y el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Palm Springs. Todas las demás traslados hacia y desde otros distritos requieren que usted aplique en persona en su distrito de residencia.
