Individual Education Plan (IEP) Meeting Requests
A parent or guardian of a student with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) may request an IEP meeting at any time during the regular school year for any reason to review their child's IEP. An IEP meeting requested by a parent or guardian to review their child's IEP must be scheduled and held within 30 calendar days of the date the District receives the written request. Days between the child's regular school sessions, terms, or days of school vacation in excess of five school days from the date the District receives the parent or guardians written request do not count in the timeline. If a parent or guardian makes a verbal request, the District shall notify the parent or guardian of the need for a written request and the procedure for filing the written request
(Education Codes 56043(I) and 56353.5).
If your child currently has an IEP, and you would like to request an IEP meeting to review the IEP, please submit your written request to your child's teacher.
